The Game

Oh boy did we had fun yesterday... It's starts to look like a family-team: I Coach, my dad assists, she keeps the score, Michael & his nephew play...
We played a nice match against a not too competitive team... First inning we lost with 8-9 (although I'm not sure about the scoring); second inning we lost 11-12! Yes, that indeed made me a very proud coach! This was the first game ever for most of the kids... Check the pics at Pionier Peanuts Blog

Of course we have loads of pictures; she needs to scrap that first game in a layout... 2 pages... mini album... Way too much pictures: ALBUM!

Fixed the flood-issue (hopefully); found one of the drains from the shower cracked... replaced it and re-installed the shower... My dad helped me out; THANKS DAD!

So tonight I am going to take a nice long shower... NO I DO NOT STINK, I USE DEODORANT!

Chromosomes & Scrapbooking

Came across this and had to show y'all how far things can get out of hand!

They are starting to WEAR scrapbookstuff...

What's next? Dressing up our kids?

But looking at above picture explains the difference below!

Scrapper's Creed (or should I say GREED)

Here's a short list on (my view of) her creed's:

- Never leave home without at least one camera, every day is a potential photo opportunity.
- No scrap of paper bigger than the smallest punch shall be thrown away.
- Always be there for your fellow scrappettes to offer help, advise or support or just an ear for venting... But what about the husband?
- Gently remind your family (as they're frantically running from her & her camera) that they will thank you someday for the memories.
- Tolerate (my) your husband's comments as to the amount of money she spends. You may NOT point out that I have lots of tools, or the latest fishing, golf, boating, etc. accessory known to mankind.
- Do not envy your neighbor's Silhouette, alphabet punches, doodlecutter, etc. (at least not openly).
- Plan all family vacations to places that have at least one Local Scrapbooking Store.
- Always have at least one album in prominent view at all times should company just happen to drop by.
- Faithfully measure your paper stash and run, not walk, to LSS when pile dips below 6".
- Do not show your (and my) children the floor plan she has to convert their room for scrapping until they get kicked out of the house.
- Take at least one picture of yourself weekly so that my grandchildren will know you really was young once.
- Be forever thankful to Mr. Kodak for his wonderful invention.
- When (I) your husband is old and gray and reminiscing through your scrapbooks you will refrain from saying "I told you you would appreciate my obsession someday." Then you'll snap off some pics of (me) him in (my) his rocker!

And about that grey...

Have a great weekend!

What Women Do For Scrapbooking

(Title free after "What People Do For Money - Divine Sounds")

Does your wife need to have this or that to create "the most beautiful piece ever"? Even though she already got something that does the exact same? But is already in her possession for more than a week? My wife always comes up with the most ridiculous reasons to buy something new: like selling some apparatus to buy the latest newest one...But this here women below hits rock bottom...

Have a nice weekend!!!

Oh BTW: this is to help you start your weekend off (REMEMBER 2 Vote for me):

Lessons in Journaling

I am not the one to tell you how to and what, but since most of you are in the same position I am in... Here's a brief history on Journaling!

Before languages there were already people (...) drawing up their history in caves to preserve memories for generations to come...

Centuries later came along a group of people known as Egyptians... They thought up pictures to describe situations, events, persons etc. They also are the source of our misery: THEY ARE THE ONES THAT THOUGHT UP PAPYRUS...

Then came YOU!!! and nothing was safe or sacred anymore. You needed to have all those thingies, a scraproom and my sportsmagazine too... just to "pimp" your pages!!!

Maybe this will be our future: Everyone can own a robot to do all the scrapping for you... Mabye Mr. Grendel was right after all!!! But where would be the fun of it for the ladies???

Anywayz! Happy Queensday! DON'T LET YOUR WIFE BUY TOO MUCH OLD S**T ON THE FLEA MARKETS!

Your Space, my space (watch those caps)!!!

So now that I am almost done with her space, I start making plans for MY OWN SPACE...

As already mentioned, I get the use of half the attic (the sunny side... oh no the cool side... or maybe...) as soon as she makes up her mind! The same goes for the doorway (THE ONE I ALREADY CLOSED THIGHT WITH BRICKS!!!) that needed to be closed to create one big attic... That now has to be split in the front- and back room!!!

I am a collector of (vinyl) records, so I cannot reside on the sunny side... OTHERWISE MY RECORDS WILL MELT!!! On the other hand, If I stay on the cool side of the attic, I am straight over the room of one of the kids... So I need to keep the volume down!

Just be glad that I'm not putting a POOL-TABLE upstairs!!!

Journaling Part 2

Remember my post about journaling last week? I read it back and still wanted to add some thoughts to that!

Whenever I read the journaling on one of their layouts I get the feeling that it is written for someone visual impaired... NOW THAT'S A NEW AUDIENCE!!! The journaling exactly describes the pictures!!! Why not do braille or better AUDIO BOOKS!!! They could sell extra stuff to accomodate the blind: portable cd/dvd-players to listen to the journaling!

Best not tell my wife or she would be running to the wholeseller's to buy it in bulk...

I would be more subtle; when I would do journaling, I would be doing it like...

Spending habbits

When you think your wife's habbit to spend money on scrapbooking is getting way out of control... Just look at picture below and consider yourself lucky! There are always hobbies that cost more...

Valentine Photoshop

As it is Valentine's Day I will not tell you anything nasty about my wife, her hobby, her spendings or her need to collect...
I just wanna state that I love her dearly, with all her flaws... as she loves me for just being me!

Happy Valentine's Day Daniƫlle

As for the posting of yesterday: here's my comment on my own creativity:

Magician as well!

Here's part 2 of the story of the deceased Harddrive...

I've been tinkering for the last three days to get the data back, and guess what?

I WORK IN IT & I AM A MAGICIAN!!!

Yeah Baby! WHO DA MAN???

As I like to be complimented just as much as anyone else (and especially scrapbookers), I wish to congratulate myself with this extraordinary achievement... You may join in! The more the merrier! This will probably get me knighted!

But to be seriously: I did manage to get back everything (that was considered lost), so if you want to receive a newsletter/nieuwsbrief and still did not send a requestmail... We will be sending it on short notice. It will be something to look forward to...

Weekend Part 2

Sorry 'bout yesterday, but I really didn't have any time to make fun about my wife... Had to rush and the weather wasn't as cooperative as expected aswell... Hopefully this movie will "blow" you away!!!

Like last week and probably next week again, I will post some fun stuff to get you through the weekend without your co-workers; and nothing else but your wife and her addiction...

Hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you back on Monday!

Weekend...

Since I will not be working this weekend, I probably have to do some stuff around the house...

I am in the middle of creating a scrap-room (FOR MY WIFE), so all the stuff that now resides in the livingroom can be placed OUT OF SIGHT

So that will leave me with even less time to do this blog...

Please check back after the weekend!

Here's one for y'all to enjoy...
